Après Cabin is an architecturally significant lakefront retreat set against the rugged wilderness of the North Cascades. A mix of large gathering spaces and private enclaves makes it the ideal cabin for families, friends, getaways and groups of all sizes. Designed in partnership with Henrybuilt, Blu Dot and Parachute, Après Cabin adds high-end designer amenities to a casual, no-fuss, kid-friendly environment. Hot tub, pool, restaurants, Methow trails and heli skiing are all a short walk away.

Shared spaces

The great room is the heart of the cabin. Walls of glass frame the wilderness all around. At its core is a 5 foot linear gas fireplace that towers 20 feet above the living room to a gorgeous wood ceiling. A custom Henrybuilt kitchen features premium integrated Wolf appliances, an open island, an array of crafted cookware, plentiful spices and cooking essentials, and curated gems you won't find in other rentals. Opposite the kitchen an oak table extends evermore, creating space for up to 12 guests. Every piece of furniture is unique and has been sourced for our guests' enjoyment from our partners, Blu Dot and Design within Reach. Sliding windows open the great room up to a lakeside porch and a covered porch, giving guests many options to enjoy the lakeside scenery year round.

Suites and Bedrooms

Retreat to one of the well-appointed suites featuring Parachute bed and bath products. Wind down in the tranquil Nest study. Add extra friends and family to the spacious bunk room. Luxe bathrooms feature extravagant soaking tubs, rain showers, warm mist and a range of swoon-worthy and kid-friendly bath products to recharge. Every bed has its own night light and phone charging station and every room is equipped with a wifi speaker.

Our Après Community

Après Cabin is part of Wilson Ranch, a private 127 acre community located at the eastern foothills of the North Cascade mountains, just 1.5 miles west of the Mazama junction. Freestone Lake, a small lake stocked with trout is the centerpiece of the community. Après Cabin is one of six privately owned cabins located on the lake and the first lakeside cabin to be built in over 10 years. The lake is also shared with the Freestone Inn, a small 17 room inn. Guests of the cabin have full access the lakeside hot tub, pool, restaurants and other amenities offered by the Freestone Inn. Wilson Ranch is also home to North Cascade Heli Ski, Washington state's premier Heli ski operator.

Skis and bikes are a preferred mode of transportation in Mazama. The Methow Community Trail, a network of over 100 miles of trails winds through Wilson Ranch and is accessed right outside the cabin's front door. The Mazama store is two miles east and can be accessed by trail or by Highway 20. the town of Winthrop is located another 13 miles east on Highway 20. Free guest parking is available on the property.

OPTIONAL: Access to the cabin's gear garage is available to guests for an additional nightly fee. Access includes indoor parking, usage of an EV charger, a wall-mounted gear dryer with 32 vents to dry 8 pairs of boots and 8 pairs of glove in an hour, and a plethora of seasonal outdoor equipment including bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards, yard games, lake toys, cross country skis, snow shoes, and much more. The gear garage will be offered to guests with reservations in preparation of their arrival.
