No SmokingBlackbird Cabin is a just-completed new home located on a quiet and secluded 20-acre property, yet only a 1-mile walk or drive to downtown Winthrop. It's very close to several hiking and mountain biking trails (only a 10 minute walk on our private road to the popular Riser Lake trail), and close to both the valley bottom and Rendezvous ski trails.
The home is an open floor plan with lots of windows providing abundant light, sunshine, and panoramic open views of the valley and surrounding mountains. There is a fully stocked kitchen with a Smeg gas range and walnut bar, The propane fireplace, and electric baseboards in each room, provide nice warmth on those winter nights. There are 2 bedrooms and a sleeping loft and 1 bath. The main floor bedrooms have queen beds; and in loft one twin, one full bed and one queen futon.

NO things needed but the view is superb.

Garbage wasn't picked up by the garbage company for 3 weeks, and that left 3 bags of garbage accruing in the cabin, attracting flies, and being unsanitary. The new gate on either end of the road makes coming and going a bit of a pain, and 2 times it prevented me from being able to come and go as I couldn't get out. I don't know if the homeowner can suggest a chain with larger links if you have to have a gate. It seems like an easy fix so everyone can come and go at their leisure.
Wonderful spot. Hope to get in again, it has a busy schedule.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this cabin. If the owner ever decides to sell, I am a willing buyer!!
