No SmokingRiver Nest is a hand-built 2-bedroom, 2-bath jewel perched on the Methow River in Winthrop. Located about 1/4 mile below the bridge, on the Methow River, with its face to the river (No River Access), and its back to the living roof and the road. There are a variety of outdoor seating areas, which include a river deck (off one of the bedrooms), stone benches (off the other bedroom), and an outdoor picnic/fire ring.
This is a two-bedroom, two-bath home, with an open floor plan for the kitchen/dining/living area. There is a main queen bedroom with a queen bed loft. There is a second queen room and a twin-bed loft, with a deck facing the river. A crib is also available.
If you’d like to invite some friends, invite them to stay close by at George’s River House.

Spacious home in a fun area within walking distance of restaurants and the movie theater. I highly recommend for a family trip to Winthrop!
This is a great spot for exploring North Cascades, with great proximity to the town of Winthrop too.
Really great spot in a convenient location. Beautiful river views, and next door to a pizza place. for being right in town, it felt very peaceful and secluded once you're inside. Nice rooms. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our time at the River Nest. It was a very peaceful way to unwind after our long hike. The cozy cabin had all the amenities we needed.
Overall the river home was exactly as photos showed. It is a unique space with nice little balcony/ patio spaces off the two rooms. This is a very cool stay close to town.

I usually stay at the Chewuch Inn & Cabins for the Blues Festival weekend. However, this year, I had to find an alternative location. If there was ever such a thing as a good problem to have, this was it. I would highly recommend this rental.
Great location with AC that kept the place an "Ice Box" after a 93-degree day. Dips in the nearby river helped out as well!
If I could give the River Nest 6 stars I would! It is an amazing place. I was worried about the noise from Highway 20, but the structure was clearly designed for quiet and privacy, with the green roof and the walls facing the road a perfect foil to noise or intrusion. It was so peaceful to be in the place, looking out on the Methow River; both the living room and the patio (not to mention the bedrooms) have great views out on the water through the trees. Loved the natural wood inside, comfortable furniture, and easy to navigate kitchen with all the things we needed to cook. The location is excellent, only a short 15' walk to central Winthrop. East 20 Pizza, which shares the parking lot with River Nest, is a gem and not to be missed! And the unexpected bonus was the ChargePoint EV charger in the parking lot, which made charging my electric car incredibly convenient.
