No SmokingGrizzly Mountain Homestead is a rustic extended stay (30 days or longer) cabin with 2 Queen bedrooms, 1 bathroom, located at the base of Grizzly Mountain, centrally located between Winthrop and Mazama. It features a view of the Methow River, fully-equipped kitchen, spacious living/dining area, wood stove and electric heat with a large deck and yard outside. The kitchen stove is a charming Country Kitchen Stove, supplemented by a counter-top oven/convection oven. No dishwasher (a great way to bond). The house has a supply of spices, baking supplies, oils, specialty teas and local coffee for a drip-coffee pot. Cleaning supplies are always supplied as well as emergency supply of candles. It can provide lodging accommodations for up to 4 guests.
Groomed MVSTA cross-country ski trails are less than a mile away, which double as walking and biking trails during the summer. The property has 7 acres and a hillside in the back of the house that lends to great sledding for children. The large outdoor, covered deck is great for storing, and working on skis and play equipment.
Take advantage of Grizzly Mountain Homestead's central location to enjoy the full range of attractions in the upper Methow Valley, from the shopping, dining, and arts in Winthrop to the incredible outdoor activities available in Mazama and the surrounding National Forests: hiking, biking, horseback riding, and rock climbing in summer, or cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling in winter.

everything was clean and comfortable. Quite close to the road but we knew that going in. Enjoyed the view out back.
Loved the fresh flannel sheets, no clutter!
Loved the wood stove and there was plenty of wood. Recommend more and sturdier towel racks in bath and need a towel rack in kitchen.
We especially loved the porch!

Got there mid afternoon so snow-shoed straight up the mountain behind the house. Wow! Lovely place to watch the last rays of sun.
