No SmokingHouse on Dirt Road is a private, modern vacation home on 40 acres, featuring Ponderosa pines, Douglas firs, and a beautiful riparian area with beaver ponds and river access. There is private access to the MethRiverver and the MVSTA trals, for winter cross-country sking, and hiking and biking the rest of the year.
This is a four-bedroom, 2,500 sq ftsingle-storyry, wheelchair-friendly home that can comfortably accommodate up to eight people. The house is designed primarily around the great room, which houses the kitchen, the dining area, and the living room, as well as a wonderful view of Goat Peak and the river bottomland. From this great room, one can either go down the hall to the bedrooms, which are all oriented toward the views, or to a ‘quiet room' that houses the TV/DVD. The kitchen, with propane stove, has plenty of room for help. And the dining area seats ten.
The bedrooms are all arranged off the common hallway, as are also the 2 bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms have king beds, and the fourth, a queen water bed. Three bedrooms have sliding-glass doors to the outdoors. One bathroom has sha ower and tub, and the other a roll-in steam shower. This second bathroom is wheelchair accessible.
The two-car garage is available for parking and provides a heated area for waxing skis. There is a 2220-voltoutlet in the garage that can be used for charging electric car batteries. It is a regular 220V with a dryer-style outlet.
On occasion the house is available, only, as a three-bedroom option, with the queen water bed being unavailable.

We always enjoy the steam shower! We enjoy the comfort of the home very warm and cozy.

Beautiful house and location. We love the big open living space and big picture windows. It’s a great house for a group of friends. Loved the fact that we could fill the bird feeder and enjoy the chickadees and nuthatches from the house.

We love the very well equipped kitchen, the steam bath, the comfortable beds, the gathering place in the living room. We are very grateful to the owners. Much good cooking, generative conversation and fabulous skiing happen while we are at the House on Dirt Road.
