J&D's Guest House is a great rustic and collegiate type cabin for your family or large group to gather and enjoy your Methow Valley vacation. With a combination of beds and sofa sleepers, this house can provide lodging accommodations for up to 12 guests. Internet access available. Great for families with children. Large riverfront yard with yard swing to sit and watch the river run by. Stroll right from the cabin to the downtown shops, galleries, and restaurants. Winter ski trail access is just an easy walk across the bridge. J & D's is not fancy, it could use some upgrades in furnishings, etc. BUT, it has location, location, location on lowbank riverfront in a great tucked away spot an easy stroll to everything Winthrop.
J&D's Guest House has 2 living rooms, 2 bedrooms on the main floor, 2 separate sleeping loft areas (one accessed via a ladder), living and dining room, fully-equipped kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, washer & dryer, woodstove and electric heat. The rental description was completely accurate, so we knew what to expect, which was great! We loved the convenient location, we had plenty of space, and although the stove top was a little finicky, we knew that in advance. The place could have used a little bit of a dusting especially on the headboard of the main room, but again. I felt the reviews and the listing itself were very descriptive. And that was all worth it for a good price, a very simple reservation and payment process, and a chance to visit a beautiful spot.
I liked the seasonings that were available. Also I liked the amount of furnishings that were provided.
The kitchen was well stocked for cooking for the group. There were extra blankets and pillows, which was really nice!
Appreciated having a lot of space and many beds.
