No SmokingThis is an original 1920 Winthrop house. When it was built there was a dirt road in front, and the river just beyond. For the last 30 years it has been a Chiropractic office....and now recently carefully renovated to be a 2 bedroom, 1 bath nightly rental...with easy ski trail access...walk to the Susie Stephens Trail, and everything else Winthrop. Very convenient...close to Winthrop's new library, the Barnyard Cinema, our outdoor refrigerated ice rink (the only one in Washington) and our local eateries.
Like a lot of old farm houses, you enter the house from the back porch and the kitchen. The living room and dining area are 'out front'. A King bedroom, a Queen bedroom, and bath are just off the living room. The furnishings are comfortable as well as charming. The kitchen has old fashioned charm and is cozy and welcoming. Well behaved pets are welcome.

We had everything we needed, everything we forgot, and more! It was a great stay, and we'd stay here again anytime!
Good place to stay. Right in the heart of town and 1-1.5 hours from every hike we did in north cascades national park. Not fancy but fit our needs and very comfortable.
Short stay….wonderful
This house worked great as our base for North Cascades National Park. It was clean, quiet and had everything we needed. The added air conditioning units were even able to handle a couple of hot days during our stay. If we’re ever able to manage another trip to the park, we’ll certainly stay here again.
Host gave excellent information about the house and community as well as providing extra amenities to make our stay more comfortable.

We had a great time. The house was comfortable and convenient to all activities. The kitchen is well furnished. Would recommend.
The house is nice and has everything you need. It was a great location for easy walking to town and access to trails. It is close to the highway so there is road noise in the early morning. The backyard with table and chairs is a great place to eat during the summer! We enjoyed ourselves.
Clean, easy access. Beds are very firm. They kindly supplied bottled water and extra toiletries.
This was a perfect spot for two retirees and dog. The house is conveniently situated a 12-minute walk from downtown Winthrop. There are easy local trails for walking and short drives to other walking locations.The house was charmingly old but none-the-less it contained everything that one could wish for a comfortable and happy stay. There were welcoming treats which were a nice touch
This is a cute old house in a fabulous location. Walkable to downtown Winthrop via the bike path and pedestrian bridge. It has the charm of an old house with upgrades like nice towels and beds etc. We enjoyed our stay!

Was a very cute old house. Definitely had some charm! Was walkable to everything and was clean.
We absolutely loved staying here for a long weekend of Nordic skiing. The location could not be beat and it was fun staying in a historic farmhouse from 1920. The house is in great condition, not fancy, but it was very nice and perfect as a home base for some quality friend time between hitting the trails. There were also lots of cool little touches like cookies for our coffee. We would definitely stay here again.
