No SmokingThis was Mom's house for a number of years. Originally a small cabin, and then Dad added to it a time or two. Originally there was an apple orchard, but over time, and winters, and all, only a couple of the trees survive-but they are beautiful.
Because the present house was built around an older home, with a stone foundation and then added onto, it does wander just a bit. Built on a small hill, the deck entrance looks to the morning and midday sky, facing McClure Mountain to the west, and has some peek-a-boo views to the Cascades in the north. The large screened-in porch in the back faces east and is a great place for coffee and the sunrise. It offers relief from the evening heat and the perfect spot for dinner in the summer. The kitchen is a small but efficient one, with modern amenities. The added living and dining area is to your right, and the bathroom with sleeping area is ahead. Below the living area is one of the queen bedrooms, with a bath.
The house has two bedrooms (both with queen beds). The upstairs bedroom has an attached bathroom. There is another bathroom downstairs - separate from the bedroom. You'll find a twin bed on the screened-in porch for summer use and another twin bed downstairs in the entryway, by the rock foundation (which is set up as a spare bedroom).
There is a mini-split upstairs for heat and cooling (and an old but working window model AC). The downstairs is built into the ground and holds steady at ground temperature. Internet is available through Methownet. No password required. Pets are allowed, but there is no fencing.
