The main house contains a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, an open-concept dining and living area, a gas fireplace, and a cozy den for those times when one needs quiet or privacy. The laundry room has a beverage refrigerator for your liquid refreshments. Outdoor space abounds, with a covered morning/coffee patio facing east, a larger covered patio with lounge furniture and outdoor dining table on the southside, as well as Adirondack chairs, and a propane grill.
The detached studio is fifteen feet away, with stunning views of Mount Gardner to the west. Originally built as an artist's studio/office, it serves as a second separate bedroom, with queen bed, a full-size loft “sky” bed, three-quarter bath, and kitchenette, with a two- burner Wolf cooktop.
This gorgeous home feels remote but is within walking distance of Winthrop. Rains End offers convenience to shops, restaurants, and outdoor attractions, including Methow Trails, Lost River Winery, and Pearrygin Lake State Park! Vibrant sunsets and natural scenery combined with modern flair, outdoor activities, and a lively art scene make this Winthrop vacation home an ideal destination.

Rains End sits on a bench overlooking the beautiful Methow Valley and the mountains in the distance. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife including the many birds and deer that inhabit the property. This rental is walking distance to town and to the yoga studio. What more could you ask for?
We enjoyed our nights in the house. The view is amazing! It is quiet and there are some deer who like to visit you. The house has everything you need.
Rains End was amazing. The views are stunning and the house was beautiful. Check-in/out incredibly easy. We were in the area for a wedding and down town Winthrop is less than a minute drive or a 3 minute walk away! Would recommend this place to anyone! Thanks so much for an amazing stay!
Easy walk to downtown Winthrop! Spent most of our time in awe of the views outside. Had everything we needed at the house. We would love to come back in the future.

An intimate location with stunning views and less than 2 min drive to downtown Winthrop. It was just my husband and I so we stayed in the main building and it was perfect for us, but the secondary building looks very cool and allows for couples to have privacy while still giving ample room for joint activities - shared meals, games by the fire, outdoor seating for marveling at the serene outdoor scenery. The bed was super comfortable too, not always a given but makes a world of difference. Recommend!
The views were amazing and the finishes were well above average for a rental property. Examples include heated floors and a blue star range. It also has a heat pump so summer would be great as well.
Great location in Winthrop, very close to downtown and all trails. Also convenient drive to Mazama, beautiful modern cabin. Overall very clean and well stocked kitchen, which we appreciated.
This way the perfect location for our winter solstice weekend get away. We were in awe of the beautiful snowy landscape from the very cozy and warm living area. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and had everything need for cooking several meals throughout our stay. Thank you for a great stay!

A beautiful location and very close to town. Easy to get to restaurants and shops. Very comfortable and it was a bonus for allergy sufferers that linens were washed in unscented products We enjoyed our stay here, and would choose this place again.
GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS. impeccably designed and beautiful spot right close to the main drag in Winthrop. We enjoyed coffee mornings with mule deer all about the house, and sunsets over the surrounding mountains.
This house is perfectly positioned to watch sunsets and enjoy long views of the surrounding hills and mountains and is a convenient spot for launching into North Cascades National Park or a 2 minute drive into Winthrop. Also this is a great spot for stargazing, as we were able to see the milky way with the naked eye. The kitchen is well stocked and the bed was comfy. Yes the toilets are positioned high as others have mentioned, but it wasn't a problem and we loved our time here. Would absolutely come back.
