No SmokingRiver House is a newer vacation cabin, with 1 bedroom and sleeping loft, near the banks of the Methow River in the Lost River area 7 miles northwest of Mazama. Enjoy breathtaking views of Last Chance Point and Driveway Butte.
Whether you plan to cross-country ski, snowshoe, hike, or just relax on the river's edge, the River House offers a wonderful place to come back to after an active day. A seasonal river channel is only steps away from your backdoor -- a few steps further and you can play in the year-round Methow River.
Lodging accommodations and amenities include two queen beds (one in bedroom, one in sleeping loft), gas fireplace, fully-equipped kitchen(tea&coffee supplies provided) , small sleeper sofa in living room, lots of windows, deck on a seasonal river channel with beautiful views, picnic table, propane BBQ, and park benches, hi speed internet,nationwide calling plan if needed and washer/dryer all in a nicely treed setting.
Please note that parking is not large enough for snowmobile trailers.

Do you have any additional comments or suggestions for River House?
The house was easy to find. It was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The riverbed directly behind the house has dried up for the summer, but if you follow it back it will lead you to a beautiful portion of the river that's very private. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

It was well stocked with cookware & utensils. Heating system works well. Held two couples easily.

Such a quaint cabin with all the amenities you might need. Very clean and cozy. Have stayed there in the past and have already booked again for same time next year.

My son and I and our two small dogs loved staying in this cozy, clean, welcoming cabin with woodsy views. The riverbed only feet away from the cabin was sadly dry. Yet another riverbed only 5 minutes walk away, further back, could be seen if walked to. You could hear the sound of this riverbed from the cabin so that was lovely. There are neighboring cabins but overall is a quiet and peaceful community of cabins. We loved the dog friendly touches such as dog bowls and blankets, and that dogs are welcomed. The Christmas lights on the front of the cabin add to the enchantment of the beauty of the area: the majestic surrounding buttes, the clear, starry skies, the sound of the nearby gushing river. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This was our fourth time staying here in the fall, and we love it more and more every year! Very clean and well-stocked. A great place to disconnect and relax in nature.

We loved our stay at this property! The cabin is nestled in the woods and just a short walk from the river. We loved hearing the crickets at night and the cozy loft and roomy porch for late-night reading and ice cream. Definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting a comfy getaway in the gorgeous Mazama valley.

Perfect for a family get away. This small but highly functional cabin is just feet from the Methow river and a short drive from world class hikes in the North Cascades.

My family and I loved our stay at this cabin! My favorite part was the sound of the water rushing outside and the wind in the trees. We are noise machine/fan addicts when it comes to sleeping and we just slept with the window open - heaven!

Stayed for 3 nights as 2 couples. Plenty of space, really well equipped kitchen & living space. Clean, cosy, peaceful and beautiful! We loved being able to bbq outside, paddle in the river and not being too far away from Mazama & local hiking trails. Would 100% recommend!!
