Skytop is a dream destination for guests seeking spectacular views, enchanting wildlife and seeming remoteness -- all a mere half-mile from downtown Winthrop.
The house is really two separate constructions, that can be rented singly or combined. 'Skytop' is the principle home with the kitchen, and one bedroom. The 'Treehouse', which was recently completed, can provide additional sleeping in a wonderful second-story private space. Completed in 2014, Skytop exudes an art-gallery ambiance, with lofty ceilings, bowling-lane countertops, and even a resident celebrity: "Sue" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sue_(dinosaur), or at least a replica of the famous T-Rex's skull.
The 'Skytop' living room features a gas fireplace and television (with DVD collection), plus Bluetooth speakers for your MP3 music. The kitchen includes a gas range, microwave and dishwasher, and a gas barbecue awaits on the patio. The home is wheelchair-accessible, with minimal thresholds, wide doorways and a roll-in shower.
'Treehouse' suite features a large bedroom/sitting area with gas fireplace and amazing views, plus a bathroom with a freestanding tub. (The suite is above the new garage, so it is not handicap-accessible.)
There is a quick-charge 50-amp exterior outlet suitable for electric vehicles.
